I’m running for senate in Michigan’s 31st District, which includes Jenison, Hudsonville, Zeeland, Holland, Grand Haven, and many other communities in Ottawa and northern Allegan counties. If you live in any of these places, I hope you’ll take a chance on me. A lot of politicians seem to be trying to convince their voters that they’re angels who can do no wrong. I’m nowhere near perfect, and I’m not going to pretend that I am. So even though I don’t deserve your support or your vote, I hope I can get it anyway. Because I can honestly say this: I really care about people. I want to help this state and this country. I want to make people’s lives better. So I hope I can earn your vote in the Democratic primary on Tuesday, August 4th.
